Welcome back #fitfam, today we’re going to talk about turning up! Wait a min, not that turn up…we’re talking about pumping up your workout volume to achieve maximum results. Now, if you follow a lot of FitPros or health and wellness pages, you probably have figured out that there’s a few basic viewpoints on how to execute a good workout session. Right here on this series, you’ve read where I say to take it slow and lift within your means. Others will say, go hard every day, just do it. Today I’m going to step away from my slow and smooth approach and talk about cranking up the intensity of your sessions to give your body a jolt. The mission is to break away from the norm!

My primary method for injecting energy to my workouts is switching supplements, adding a pre-work and using variety to force my brain and body to exit the comfort zone. The reason that I switch supplements is because, like any foreign substance or drug, over time, your body will adapt to its use and your benefits will diminish dramatically. Its also an opportunity for the deficiencies that exist to be addressed via supplements, which will pay dividends for you overall health.

Adding the pre-workout is big for me because after an experimental phase with different pre-workouts, I decided they really aren’t my jam. Even halving the recommended dose, it gave me itchy skin and an antsy feeling, so I tapped out on those. But, on temporary basis to mix thing sup, I can manage a quarter dose to get what’s need to charge up the workouts. Alongside the pre-workout, the natural internal intensity has to be pumped to the max. I use inspirational videos by guys like Eric Thomas or Dharius Daniels, music by my favourite rap artists, and inspirational quotes to walk into the gym on 10…the stretch is high energy, the warm-up is pumped, and the workout is elite level energy. In other words, I get ingested motivation and mental motivation via visuals and the result is a bomb workout!

My wish is that my advice will inspire and drive you to the next level, please enjoy these tips!
