Welcome back #fitfam, it’s been a while but Coach Tee is back and feeling refreshed. In my time away I’ve relocated, taken a trip to Vegas, and started a new adventure…but that’s to why you all are here, let’s talk FITNESS!

So, as you can see by the title, we will be discussing ways that I have found will open the gateway to thinking better. This isn’t a quest to get smarter or gain knowledge per se, more of a shift in mindset that will unlock some blocked areas in your life. I am a firm believer in the power of thoughts (and words) and how the way you view yourself and the world around you can impact the results you receive.

I rare ever venture into something thinking I can’t do it, in fact, it never crosses my mind until maybe I find I’m not very good at it or I fail to execute it properly. Nonetheless, I keep trying until I get it right or realize my limitations. The fun part is that I try though, I don’t let potential shortcomings or failures prevent me from the attempt. Adopting that mindset due to my father’s influence has allowed me to see and do great things that some folks wouldn’t dare try!

And here’s where you all come in! I want you to adopt the can do attitude and try something new and challenging. To do so, we must think better…starting with affirmations. Get a marker and write positive messages to yourself on mirrors all over the house. Encourage yourself to be brave. Avoid words like fear, fail, can’t, won’t, and do to speak ill of yourself. You are great and bold and brave and you can do anything you put the effort into.

It doesn’t have to be perfect, remember, we want the attempt first, perfection comes later.

What you will find is that working out and committing to better eating becomes easier because you are reshaping your own opinion of you and don’t be surprised if your goals change along the way!

Here’s some general pieces of equipment I recommend you gather to create a solid DIY kit that will cost you $60 or less – a lifetime of equipment for the cost of a 3-month gym membership:
