Hey there #fitfam, welcome back and to our new visitors, thank you for coming! Today we’re going to discuss supplements, use them or nah? The decision to use supplements to aide on your health and wellness journey can be impacted by several factors including necessity, suggestion, information seeking, or pure curiosity. My number one recommendation is to be sure you are fully informed before a decision is made. If a doctor has recommended some form of supplement such as iron, calcium, or multi-vitamin, be sure to follow the dosage to the letter as they have made the suggestion based on labs, years of education, and tested history of effectiveness. If you’ve either been studying ways to improve your health or you are curious about a product, the best approach is to understand what your body can handle and what it needs. Using pre-workouts, post-workouts, creatine, or protein supplements can either help grow muscles, aide in recovery, or trim weight so find what’s best for you and manage the dosage in a way that provides maximum results with minimal side-effects. The area that I caution most fit-seekers is when a friend suggests something…keep in mind that we are all different and don’t just take anything because your pal seems to be getting great results with it. Your body has different needs and you should do extensive research on any product you might consume. Ultimately, your personal needs and preference should take priority over anything that I might advise and as always follows your doctor’s advise as a priority.
