Welcome back #fitfam, today we’re going to talk about pumping up the volume of your workouts to maximize results. The concept here is be efficient while producing the best results physically and mentally. There’s few feelings that are as satisfying as crushing it in the gym and the sweet hurt of great lifting. But that feeling isn’t achieved in your comfort zone or doldrums of a routine – you must switch gears to reach that high.

While there is no singular way to make this feeling a reality, I will offer my approach and hopefully it’ll help someone out there reach the stars they seek. It is a requirement that I change things up intermittently or my body will adapt to my sessions quickly. So my first change of pace is to switch the time of day I train (morning to night or vice versa). Forcing my brain to adapt to a different set of circumstances is pivotal to success.

Basically, if I’m set to workout first thing in the AM, say 4:30a, then switching to 6p means that I’m likely dealing with some fatigue from my work day.  There is also the mental baggage I’ve picked up along the way. These mental barriers force me to dig deep and challenge myself to be disciplined and put on a solid workout filled with energy and effort.

On the physical side of things, its important that I switch up the drills I’m doing but also the format. For example, if I’ve been locked in on AMRAP (as many reps as possible), I need to do counted reps and short, timed super sets in between. There’s also the variable of changing the tempo of the workouts such as fast burst and slow methodical reps. Each type of movement has its benefits, so it is important to mix in both. If you find yourself always moving the weight quickly, slow it down fam! If you most often go slow, add some burst reps.

Lastly, switch up your supplement game, try different products and take note of any recomposition due to the changes. This information is valuable because as you discover how to morph your body, you can switch up your composition seasonally, keeping you in a perpetual state of high-level fitness just outside of peak condition.

My wish is that my advice will inspire and drive you to the next level, please enjoy these tips!
