Welcome back #fitfam, today we’re going to talk about finding balance. In each person’s life, balance will look different. Though technically balance is equality or all things equal in portion, however, in real life, balance can be different. Work/Life balance is most often debated because of the recent mental health focus in society. The goal is to always invest time in things that supply your needs and things that feed your soul and help you feel human. Incorporating exercise and health and wellness into a busy work and family life can be a complex thing. Often people who begin new fitness journeys throw a wrench into their balance by becoming consumed or excessive in their efforts to ‘get fit’. One area becomes neglected because there is such a focus on hitting the gym or health related tasks.
My advise is to be intentional from the beginning and plan ahead for the things that will be shifted to accommodate the addition of new activity. A 1:1 trade in leisure activities is a good place to start and where possible, shifting some extra work tasks can create the perfect amount of space to mix in exercise.
It can be rewarding to see the consistency and progress when balance is a focus because it gives the mind a chance to appreciate that you’re doing something for YOU! Remember to simply be planning your way through the process and calibrate as needed. Sometimes you need to adjust the plan because over time an area can become deficient and you need to shift things to fill the void that is growing. So throughout the process, pay attention to your balance in all things.
My wish is that my advice will inspire and drive you to the next level, please enjoy these tips!
