Hey there #fitfam, welcome back and to our new visitors, thank you for coming! Today we’re going to discuss the art of being human! As weird as it a many sound, many of us struggle with being H-U-M-A-N…beautifully flawed and perfect creations who are often figuring this thing called life out as we go. We want to look great, feel great, be kind, eat right, drink water, and win at everything but rarely do we give ourselves the credit for the attempt. Societal norms and standards have a way of putting pressure on us to be different than we were intended to be and we end up miserably pursuing something that is uncomfortable and unrealistic.
My advice today is to be the version of you that is happy and comfortable in their own skin. It is okay to not be perfect or do everything ‘right’…specifically in health and wellness, expect false starts and failures because each one is an opportunity to learn and grow into the awesome version that your creator intended. Start with setting realistic expectations of yourself and create a plan to achieve the things that are most important to YOU. Do not allow unrealistic requirements to be placed on your time and you’ll find that being normal and human and flawed is actually good for you. But the best thing is acceptance…recognize where you can be happiest and dwell in that zone while broadening your horizons at your pace. It’s really easy to get caught up in the rat race for success but don’t sacrifice your place in the HUMAN race to get there…you’ll be glad you chose YOU first!
