Hey #fitfam! I wanted to take this opportunity to use this space to wish everyone a Happy New Year filled with prosperity, blessings, and good fortune. I pray that success finds you all in 2023 and beyond in life, love, and health and wellness. And that brings me to the purpose of today’s end of year article, how to attack health and wellness in the new year. The following tips are intended to encourage and motivate you to keep the greatness going and build on your previous successes.
My first piece of advise heading into the new year is to not overdo it and try to compensate for any missteps down the final stretch of 2022. As we talked about in previous articles, we expected to stumble and actually planned for it so there is no need to overcompensate by setting unrealistic goals to start a new year. In my opinion, the worst thing you can do is fall into the ‘new year, new me’ trap because its a formula designed to fail. The idea itself applies undo pressure to a situation that should be ruled by patience and consistency.
Next up, review your previous plan and adjust accordingly. Maybe you’re starting a new job, new relationship, or experiencing an expansion of your family and your time allotments will change…it’s time to update the plan. Make sure that you are setting realistic goals and being real with yourself about exactly how things will play out. Its smart to set up a trial period in which you give yourself grace and have an understanding that things won’t play out perfectly but they will work out in your favor.
My last tip is to spread light and love to those around you. I have found that a healthy me is a happy me and I am able to use that positive energy to be a blessing to others. I pray that all will do the same and be a positive force in the lives of those you encounter each day.

I’m trying to figure out my goals for working out in 2023. Last year’s were realistic, so I’m trying to do the same this year. last year my goal was to finish every workout program i did was to do it from beginning to end and i was successful at doing that
