Mary J. Blige is one of my favorite artist because she is always so real It is nice to have a artist put to music how you feel at different times of your life. It lets you you know that you are not alone. Music can be therapy if you allow it to be. A certain song can play and instantly you start thinking of the time and place where you first heard that song. I could make a entire playlist of all the songs I remember that played during the saturday clean ups during my childhood. Some of the music my mom had playing on Saturday clean up where, Smokey Robinson, Betty Wright, Evelyn “Champagne” King , and B.B. King . Christmas would not be Christmas if we did not hear the Temptations or the Jackson Five Christmas albulm playing throughout the house.
I hope this trip down my memory lane makes you close your eyes and think of all the great music that played in your home during certain times of your childhood. Once you have done that then think of now how Mary J. Blige has made yet another great hit I hope you enjoy my interpretation of Good Morning Gorgeous.
