Dance Is Back!

Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap and Competition dance girls are ready for all that to start again. The wait is over! Since March,2020 all dance classes and dance competitions have been canceled thanks to COVID-19. Well, I can honestly tell you that my girls ran, not walked,into the Studio 203 Dance Centre in Killeen, Texas the moment they found out it was open again. Dance is back in full effect! Of course, some changes had to be made to ensure everyone’s safety, but we are back dancing, and that is what matters the most!

The dance studio is cleaned and sanitized daily. The dancers come in masked-up,with their water bottles. The teachers all have their masks on also, even while they are teaching the students. The water fountain is turned off at this time, so the dancers must bring their own bottles of water. As a safety precaution, parents must stay in the parking lot. The dance instructors come out with signs that have the class name and time, so the girls know were to line up. Once in line, the girls head inside while the parents wait outside until class is over. Dance Competition Starts in March and we honestly can’t wait for that to start either.

Parents are only allowed in the studio if they need to make a payment or take care of other dance business. In these instances, parents are required to wear a face-mask upon entering the studio. The dancers exercise social distancing during practice. They are required to sanitize their hands before entering and when leaving the classroom.

My girls are very excited to be back in dance class. I mean, they are already screaming, “When is competition?!?!?!”  With dance being back in session you will need some dance gear. With all the costumes that my girls wear I get the best use out of the costume duffle bag rack. I can open it up set it up and its a mini rack that I can hang all of their costumes on and they can just grab and get dressed. Organization takes away alot of stress during wadrobe changes.
